At Adaptable Recruitment we have an Excellent opportunity for a Receptionist (Maternity Leave Cover) to join a well established Law firm in the Southport area.

Package: up to £25,000 Depending on experience.
Temporary - Maternity cover - full or part time considered - Approx 9-12 months
Holidays: 25 days & bank holidays.
Location: Southport - Fully office based

Main Responsibilities to include:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls efficiently and courteously
  • Manage front desk operations including appointment scheduling, mail handling, and maintaining a tidy reception area
  • Respond to general enquiries via phone, email, and in-perso
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and follow sign-in procedures
  • Provide administrative support to internal departments as needed
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and organise refreshment
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and document management

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a professional services reception role is essential
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills (legal reception experience highly regarded)
  • Professional presentation and a client-focused attitude
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to manage confidential information discreetly
  • Reliable, punctual, and available for the full maternity leave contract
