Interim Opportunity: HR System Implementation Lead (9-12 Month FTC)

My client is embarking on a major transformation journey - and are seeking an experienced HR System Implementation Lead to join them on a 9-12 month fixed-term basis to deliver a high-profile project that will shape how they work going forward.

They are implementing a brand-new HR and Payroll system that will revolutionise their people processes. This role is key to ensuring a smooth transition from the legacy platforms to a streamlined, automated solution that works for both back-office teams and employees.

As the project lead, you will drive the end-to-end implementation - from project planning and stakeholder engagement to data migration, testing, training, and go-live. You'll also line-manage a small project team and work closely with our Head of Governance, Executive Management, and external system providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of our new HR & Payroll platform in line with strategic objectives
  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan, including milestones, risks, and reporting
  • Oversee data cleansing and migration from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with providers
  • Deliver training and support for end users and wider teams
  • Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external providers
  • Ensure automation, reporting, and system functionality are fully optimised
  • Deputise for the Head of Governance as needed

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:

  • A proven track record in HR system implementations and project delivery
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Deep understanding of HR and Payroll systems and associated data processes
  • Confidence presenting at senior level and challenging constructively when needed
  • Experience supporting organisational change and improving operational efficiency

Contract Type: 9-12 month FTC (interim)
Location: Denbighshire (hybrid/onsite working arrangements to be confirmed)

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident project professional who's ready to take ownership of a meaningful change programme that will have a lasting impact.
